Mother Nature Science (known as 'MNS' to our fans) Science Activity School Holiday Camp is the leading full-week fun, hands-on, educational STEAM programme, for maximum benefit to your child and cost effectiveness to you. Running at premium London Partner Schools for over 15+ years (30+ years Internationally). We have very limited small classes of up to only 20 children, tried-and-tested ‘mixed age dynamic’, strictly open ages 5-12yrs (age at time of camp – 4yr olds will not be accepted). There are a maximum of 20 children in each class. To pay with Childcare Vouchers, at Checkout, simply choose ‘Pay By BACS' Everything You Need to Know: ● Mother Nature Science April Easter Science Activity Holiday STEAM Camp 2025 -Brilliant Biology! ● Every Easter Holidays we have 1 science programme, over 3 weeks (i.e. it is the same programme on each week) ● Years: Ages 5-12 (we cannot legally accept any child aged under 5 yrs at time of camp - due to our Voluntary Ofsted Registration). Our classes are currently limited to 20 children per class, and we run a tried-and-tested ‘mixed age dynamic’. There is a ratio of 2x DBS checked, trained instructors to each class of 20, who will focus with the younger children on the making and key scientific concepts, while challenging the older children with more advanced science and giving them more responsibility. ● Times: 9am-3:30pm (Extended Hours: 8:30am-4pm - extra £10 per day, per child - tick on online booking form – above where it says ‘Where’ and ‘When’) ● Truly International! 🌎 - Every year both UK and International children fly in from all over the world for our holiday camps. All your child requires is basic level of spoken English. It is all about socialising with other children and having fun with science. No child is left alone. ● MNS Holiday Activity STEAM Camp is the leading safe, fun, hands-on, full-week educational programme, for maximum social and educational benefit to your child and cost effectiveness to you. We prioritise 4-day full-week bookings and reward parents for booking early and in groups (see ‘multi-booking discount codes’ at the bottom of this page). Limited day-places are available, with no discount. ● You can book ‘individual day-places ’ at a premium rate and no discount is applicable. Day Places are £95 per day per child. Read ‘Club Notes’ dropdown for instructions on how to book ‘day places’, you simply book online as normal, ignoring the full week price, and at Checkout: type the dates you want in the Notes box and choose ‘Pay by Other Method’ and we will email you our bank details to pay. ● All Childcare Vouchers, GTFC, CGPS and Universal Credit payment methods are now accepted by MNS, at Checkout just choose ‘Pay by Other Method’ (we will then email you details on Provider references). ● Universal Credit instructions: pay upfront by BACS or Card and we send you an invoice after you have paid to claim back i.e. we are not permitted to send you an invoice until you’ve paid. You can find out more information on the use of Universal Credit on the UK Government website. ● We recommend booking asap as parents rush to reserve places for the holidays. ● Currently classes are limited to 20 children – so fill up quickly. ● Full ‘Welcome Email’ is sent the Monday 1-week before the first day of your camp During the holiday Camp ● Indoor and outdoor activities – bring comfy clothes ● Four indoor classroom-based fun, hands-on, science sessions per day, with wow-factor demonstrations and take-home experiments – across chemistry, biology and physics ● Three outdoor ‘Playground-Activity-Breaks’ per day, including: football, hoola-hoops, tennis, skipping-ropes, bubble-guns, parachutes, bean-bags and stomp rockets – and more! ● Bring a packed lunch – only mineral water provided ● All equipment provided Activity Week Programme – what they do! ● Brilliant Biology! – New Activities for 2025 Every day at this 4-day camp is a science expedition into the unknown and over the week your child will do 30+ science activities, exciting demonstrations, hands-on experiments, team games and fun quizzes. ● Day 1: Brilliant Bodies! We start the camp off with a fun induction and orientation session to make sure all little scientists settle in well. We discover some scentsational facts and make some scented soap. We investigate what happens when our teeth are left in an acidic solution for too long and make a teeth model. Then we round it all off and discover some amazing body facts and carry out lots of body experiments Getting To Know You! Through games and activities we make sure all little scientist are prepared for a fantastic week of science fun! What’s That Smell! – We have a mystery smell challenge to test how sensitive our noses are! What Big Teeth You Have! – We learn why looking after our teeth is so important and dissolve an eggs shell to make a bouncing egg! Bizarre Bodies! – We tried some crazy experiments with our bizarre bodies – can you roll your tongue or wiggle your ears? ● Day 2: Spring Has Sprung! Spring is a time for new life to grow - We find out what seeds need to germinate, plants to grow, and create our own growing greenhouse! We look at the world of plants and find out some fruits can be used to generate electricity! Finally, we have some sticky fun as we investigate slimes! Plantacious! – We learn all sorts of fascinating plant facts and bring a dead plant back to life! How Does Your Garden Grow? – We harness the greenhouse effect to create the perfect growing environment for our seeds. Stuck On You! – We look at sticky mucus and create some super sticky slime! The Fun Zone! – We re-cap the activities with quizzes and challenges designed to reinforce the day’s learning. ● Day 3: Amazing Animals! Super birds! We look at the diversity of the bird world. Then the Easter Bunny helps us discover some rabbit facts and we make a bouncing, friction bunny. We discover each stage of a frog’s life cycle and learn a little about some interesting looking frogs! We learn how honey is produced, flowers pollinated, and even do a funky bee waggle dance! Super Birds! – Discover just how diverse the bird world is from Antarctica’s penguins, to the tiny humming birds of southern Americas rain forests, to the endangered New Zealand kakapo. Hop To It! – From frog spawn, to tadpole, to frog, we investigate the frog life cycle. Bouncing Bunnies! – The Easter Bunny has hidden lots of funny bunny facts for us to find in an Easter Egg treasure hunt. Busy Buzz! – We investigate the very busy bee as they collect nectar, pollinate flowers, and make delicious honey. ● Day 4: Super Senses! We investigate how sounds are made and make a very LOUD paper banger! Children gain a better understanding of our amazing eyes and make a spinning Benham Illusion Disc. Then we go on a journey learning about the brain and take part in fun and interesting brain experiments. We end the camp with a fun session as the Easter Bunny challenges us to safely deliver Easter Eggs in a Mother Nature Science Easter Bonnet Parade. Noisence! – Some noises are really noisy – how loud is our paper banger! See All You Can See! –We look closely at the eye structure and see some dazzling eye illusions! Brainiacs! – We make a brain hat to display our brilliant brain power! Easter Bonnet Parade Challenge – Can you design a special scientific Easter bonnet to protect an egg from a messy fate?
